CENTA® TQ (Teaching Quotient) and Certification

CENTA® Teaching Quotient (TQ) is an objective, online yet practice-oriented assessment of the most important competencies for teaching. CENTA® Micro-Credentials are in-depth objective plus practical assessments leading to certifications on specific competencies. CENTA® Principal Certification is for principals and other school leaders.

Eligibility

  • Any teacher or anyone interested in teaching (a teaching degree or experience is NOT a pre-requisite)
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Graduate in any discipline (D.Ed. / D.El.Ed. holders will be exempted from the graduation requirement)
  • Cannot take CENTA® TQ in same test track more than once within 3 months

Fees

  • Registration fee for the CENTA® TQ test is USD 19 / Rs. 1500 (+GST in India) per test-track.
  • In the spirit of helping teachers in the current situation, CENTA® TQ is available at a 66% discount till May 31st – i.e. only USD 6.5 / Rs. 500 (+GST in India).

CENTA® TQ format

  • A 90-minute online test
  • 50 Multiple Choice questions for 100 marks
  • Subject Understanding (50 marks), Teaching or Pedagogical Practices (25 marks), Communication (25 marks)
  • Based on Level 1 competencies as defined in CENTA® Standards
  • Applicable for all school boards and segments
  • Topics used in the Subject Understanding section are mostly common topics for that grade level, across boards.
